TUITION

Composition Program:  €1900 (Cortona Prize full-tuition scholarship available)
Performance Program:  €1900
Chamber Music Initiative: €1900
Conducting Program: €1900 (two €1000 scholarships available)
Auditor/Groupie Program:  €1000
Audio/Visual Fellowship: partial and full-tuition scholarships available
Resident Piano Fellowship: one full-tuition scholarship available

Additional performance-based scholarships will be awarded at the time of acceptance. Need-based financial assistance in the form of partial tuition discounts may be available; please contact the Sessions director at info@cortonasessions.org for more information if you have financial need.

TUITION INCLUDES:

  • group classes

  • Cortona Collective concerts

  • workshops

  • private lessons

  • rehearsal coachings

  • one-on-one consultations

  • access to Akoesticum’s state-of-the-art rehearsal and performance facilities and equipment (full list of instruments and rooms available here)

  • complimentary headshot sessions with Brendan Sweeney, production manager

FOOD & LODGING: €1300 EUR

Food and Lodging includes:

  • dorm room with bathroom (shared with one, two, or three roommates)

  • breakfast buffet every morning

  • free coffee, tea, and water all day, every day

  • 8 buffet lunches (June 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, and 20)

  • 2 banquet dinners (June 10 and June 20)

  • wi-fi

  • access to Akoesticum’s beautiful housing facilities, including:

    • bar/cafe

    • Walking paths

    • Common shared spaces

NOT INCLUDED IN TUITION:

  • airfare

  • train fare to/from the Ede train station

  • accommodations prior to June 10, 2024 or after June 21, 2024

  • some meals

  • additional snacks and drinks

DATES & DEADLINES

Application Deadline:  January 5, 2024
Notification Deadline:  January 21, 2024
Tuition Deposit Due:  February 5, 2024
Tuition Balance Due:  March 15, 2024
Composition Submission Deadline:  April 28, 2024

Late payments will incur a €150 penalty unless payment arrangements are made prior to March 15, 2024.

REFUND SCHEDULE

Withdraw by March 15:  €850 (deposit)
Withdraw by April 1:  50% of amount paid
After April 1, no refunds will be given except in extreme circumstances. Refunds will be for the amount paid MINUS service fees.
